Product Description
Truck-Mounted Crane Safety & Operation Guide
Ensuring operator and crew Safety with proper handling.
  • Boom Positioning & Load Alignmen

Rotate the crane to align the boom over the load.
Adjust boom height and telescopic extension to position the hook correctly.
Safety Tip: Follow the load chart and ensure lifting weight is within allowed limits for current boom radius and angle.
  • Crane Extension Preparation

Sit at operator seat and slowly operate boom angle handles to extend the main boom and telescopic sections.
Move one handle at a time.
Safety Tip: Never operate multiple boom handles simultaneously. Keep boom path clear of personnel.
  • Outrigger Setup

Unlock outriggers and extend main and auxiliary outriggers fully.
Place support pads under each outrigger on soft ground.
Safety Tip: Ensure the truck is level. Incomplete extension may lead to tipping hazards.
  • Engaging Power Take-Off (PTO)

Ensure truck gear is in neutral and PTO switch is off.
Start engine and wait for safe air pressure levels.
Engage PTO slowly to drive the hydraulic crane system.
Safety Tip: Confirm all control levers are neutral before operation. Improper PTO engagement can damage hydraulic components.
  • Pre-Operation Site Check

Park the truck on firm, level ground. Engage the parking brake.
Inspect the surrounding area for obstacles, overhead lines, or unstable surfaces.
Confirm the load is within crane rated capacity and lifting height limits.
Safety Tip: Never operate on soft or sloped surfaces. Maintain at least 10 meters distance from high-voltage lines.
  • Post-Operation Maintenance

Lubricate pivot points, boom slides, and hydraulic cylinder pins
Check hydraulic oil levels, inspect hoses, and tighten bolts
Safety Tip: Only trained personnel should perform hydraulic maintenance. Replace worn parts immediately.
  • Crane Retraction & Stowage

Retract telescopic sections and fold boom sequentially.
Rotate crane to stowed position and fully retract outriggers
Safety Tip: Follow reverse order of extension to protect hydraulic cylinders and boom sections.
  • Lowering & Load Placement

Lower the load carefully to the designated position.
Detach slings and cables only when load is stable and personnel are clear.
Safety Tip: Never leave a suspended load unattended. Avoid sudden lowering.
  • Rotating with Load

Rotate the crane slowly to move the load
Monitor outrigger stability and crane tipping indicators.
Safety Tip: Do not extend the working radius while rotating a loaded boom. Keep movements smooth.
  • Lifting Operation

Lift the load slowly and steadily. Avoid sudden movements or swinging.
Monitor vehicle stability and outrigger pressure during the lift.
Safety Tip: Never exceed rated capacity. Avoid lifting loads over personnel.
